Representative Hussein Haj Hassan said, “At a time when we hear the news that the criminal Zionist Minister Itamar Ben Gvir was forced to cancel his visit to New York for fear of legal prosecution for his crimes and racist stances against the Palestinian people, as a result of movements led by international human rights institutions, and at a time when the world is moving to hold such criminals accountable for the genocide, killing and destruction they committed in Palestine and Lebanon, we find the Lebanese authority moving quickly in the opposite direction, granting the Israeli enemy and its leaders immunity from any legal prosecution for their crimes.” Their crimes against the Lebanese, through its signing of the agreement of humiliation and shame, Article 13 of which stipulates the cessation of all hostile or negative actions in international political or legal forums.” He said in a statement: “This agreement is an instrument of surrender and a stain on the forehead of everyone who signed it or promoted it, because it constitutes a neglect of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the natural and legitimate right of the Lebanese to pursue war criminals and hold them accountable for the killing, destruction, and attacks they committed against Lebanon and its people. It legitimizes the Israeli occupation of the land of the south, and gives the enemy the excuse and pretext to continue killing the Lebanese and bulldozing and destroying homes.”
